The Case for Interactivity
"All models are wrong, but some are useful" (George Box). Because subsurface knowledge is fundamentally uncertain and available data are sparse, assessing risk requires us to build physically and geologically valid models and rapidly test different hypothesis.
If obtaining a single result is a long or tedious process, it is natural to tend towards a single or limited range of answers. But if your model is truly interactive, without compromising with the quality of the physical model, it helps to recognize alternative solutions and explore a more complete range of possible outcomes.

The fastest basin simulator
At the intersection of traditional, full physics, forward simulators and Machine Learning, the ExCaliber basin simulator computes in seconds thermal and pressure regime at basin scale, orders of magnitude faster than a typical basin simulator. The speed lets you change on the fly any parameter or hypothesis, or compute thousands of realizations conditioned to observations to deliver probabilistic results.
